Eric’s experience

Another Oldie but a Goodie! How far we've come since our early days out on the hiking trails!

A few words from Eric

Hi everyone, it’s Adventure Eric here! I just wanted to share with you what the OutHounds Adventure Club experience has meant to me. I can honestly say we have seen and witnessed a difference in Charlie. He’s still a silly boy but he adjusts so quickly once we hit the trails. Our bond has become so much stronger. I’m able to read his body language so much quicker. He helps me as much as I help him now. I know looking at his face every day that we are out on the trail, he is a happy dog!! The experience has helped me get back into shape. When we started hiking, I could hardly make it a mile and a half without having issues. Now almost a year later, there are times we are out for 10 miles and I’m carrying a 65liter backpack full of supplies and water! Being outside and in the woods, it just brings me back to a simpler time in life. It’s a few hours in the morning on a Saturday or Sunday or both to let every thought go and just be in the moment with Charlie and truly enjoy ourselves. I never thought I’d be the person to go for a hike in the rain, but I am now! When Tim said we would go rain, snow or shine as long as conditions were safe enough and the risk acceptable, I didn’t think I’d be up for it. It can be exhilarating be out in the elements! It means the world to us having someone new or others join us for a hike. Charlie and I both get amped up like we need to show how well this works! I’m blessed to have partners in this, Tim Riendeau and Kayla Spagna. Without them, none of this would be possible. Please take the time and check us out. Join us…GET UP and GET OUT!!! It’s worth it!!!
