This session:
F. Gilbert Hills, Foxborough, MA
K-Boose and Tinkle first discovered the amazing F. Gilbert Hills in February 2019–Super Bowl Sunday to be exact! We went to commemorate the New England Patriots; and I’m pretty sure the good vibes generated on our hike really helped them win that sixth championship!
However, we were the real champions that, with truly amazing rock outcroppings, beautifully marked and maintained trails, and being truly inspired by the power of the “hike”.
Much like last time out, this hike will be commemorating something as well. Many of the trails were originally constructed and maintained by the Civil Conservation Corp (CCC). These Depression Era laborers were so inspired by their work, that it instilled a love and desire to conserve our natural world for entire generation. This Labor Day weekend, let’s CELEBRATE our history and show that we are instilling this same passion in a new generation!
Expect about 5+ miles of hiking on our Standard+ Adventure.
