This session:
Simmons Pond
Queer Hikes and OutHounds Adventures will be collaborating for monthly hikes at the end of every month! Join us for one of our favorites, Simmon’s Pond in Little Compton, RI.
Simmons Pond is certainly one of OHAC’s favorite Adventures. We suppose any tenderly cared for oasis that boasts tree cookies, 30 hidden birdhouses, trail magic, history lessons, and a sense of deep pride in a community’s land trust is worthy of “favorite” designation! Path’s here are wide and welcoming with minimal inclines. Parts of the trail can get not only muddy, but completely flooded–although this tends to be a Springtime occurrence. Expect about 4-5 miles of hiking on our standard adventure!
