Standard Adventure: Quanapoag/ Pine Tree Trail

August 24, 2019 @ 8:00 am - 10:00 am

Free

This session:
Quanapoag Road/ Pine Tree Trail, Dartmouth MA

The Pine Tree Trail off of Quanapoag Road is yet another launching point into the vast network of forest trails that make up Freetown-Fall River State Forest.  This section is actually part of the SE Mass Bioreserve and skirts alongside the Copicut Rifle Club and active hunting areas. We will meander northbound towards the Freetown- Fall River State Forest, before looping back. This loop is more of an Standard Plus+ so come prepared!

This is one of Tinkle’s personal favorites when heading out for one of his own adventures due to varied terrain and interesting trails–and he is excited to share it with OHAC! Let us take you on an exciting Adventure!

Expect about 4-5 miles of hiking on our standard adventure!

**Adventures are typically held rain or shine. Please check Facebook, Instagram and emails for severe weather cancellations.**

Terrain: The initial part of the trail begins with a steep and loose rock incline making for precarious footing. Fire roads can become easily flooded—particularly on the return trip.

You need: Proper footwear. This area allows hunting and bright colors are highly recommended.  Water and a snack. Signed Release Form.

Your Dog needs: Properly fitting harness, water and snacks. Signed Adventure Contract and EITHER – proof of up-to-date shots or OH Veterinary Release Form.

Parking: Street-side.

**If this is your FIRST adventure, please be to trail 15 minutes early to fill out paperwork.
