Waterworks: Island Time
For months Adventure Guide Tim had heard about a great place to run, called Waterworks–and for months, Tinkle checked Google Maps looking for it! While there are miles of trails that dart in and out of the areas around Great Quittacas Pond, we will begin at the North Rochester Congregational Church. This is a predominantly forest trail with some mild inclines and great views of the pond—and an island that one can’t help think of the classic television show, Lost! (Don’t worry—we don’t think it’s TOO haunted!) Expect about 4-5 miles of hiking on our standard adventure! Lite Adventurers should expect about 2-3 miles
Standard Adventure to be immediately followed by a Lite Adventure.
**Adventures are held rain or shine.**
Terrain: Some steeper inclines, Tall grassy areas
You need: Proper footwear. Water and a snack. Signed Release Form.
Your Dog needs: Properly fitting harness, water and snacks. Signed Adventure Contract and EITHER – proof of up-to-date shots or OH Veterinary Release Form.
Parking: Large shoulder street-side dirt lot or paved lot at church.
**If this is your FIRST adventure, please be to trail 15 minutes early to fill out paperwork.
