Free Lite Adventure: Freetown-Fall River State Forest Main Entrance

June 29, 2019 @ 10:15 am - 11:15 am

Free

This session:

Freetown-Fall River State Forest Main Parking Lot

When Adventure Guide Tim (aka Tinkle Tim, aka Lewis) first moved to Southcoast Massachusetts, this state forest was an amazing discovery. Boasting miles of trails and fire roads; you could easily spend days exploring all of its nooks and crannies! Being an outsider, Tim was unaware of Freetown Forest’s mystical legends, and even now, Adventure Club has come up short in our endless pursuit of the elusive Pukwudgie!

The main parking lot allows OHAC various options–such as the Bent Rim Trail–for trekking out and finding our Adventure!

“Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.”

Expect about 4-5 miles of hiking on our standard adventure! Lite Adventurers should expect about 2-3 miles.

Standard Adventure to be immediately followed by a Lite Adventure.

**Adventures are held rain or shine.**

Terrain: Some narrow, rocky trails with mild inclines.  Footing can be tricky. Alternative fire roads are available with K-Boose!

You need: Proper footwear.  Water and a snack. Signed Release Form.

Your Dog needs: Properly fitting harness, water and snacks. Signed Adventure Contract and EITHER – proof of up-to-date shots or OH Veterinary Release Form.

Parking: Small Lot.

**If this is your FIRST adventure, please be to trail 15 minutes early to fill out paperwork.
