SUMMARY:Standard Adventure: Swansea Village Park
DESCRIPTION:This session:\nSwansea Village Park \nSVP is an Adventure Club favorite as it provides both natural and man made obstacles for both our OutHounds and OutHumans. The Park is frequented by mountain bikers and NEMBA members have built various equipment that gives our four-legged adventure partners opportunities to practice typical Canine Agility skills such as seesaws\, narrow bridges and climbing walls! Mother Nature hasn’t done a bad job either with all of the pudding stone and large outcroppings that gives the adventurous and sure-footed a view of the treetops. As always\, not every obstacle is for everyone and no one is forced to make choices they aren’t comfortable with! However\, even if you aren’t making the minor climbs\, the ground can be slick and root covered. Who knew that all of this was behind the Swansea Library! Expect about 4-5 miles of hiking on our standard adventure! Lite Adventurers should expect about 2-3 miles. \nStandard Adventure WILL NOT by a Lite Adventure on Sunday!  See you next week Lite Adventurers! \n**Adventures are held rain or shine.** \nPrerequisites: Veterinary release form; If this is your FIRST adventure\, please be to trail 15 minutes early to fill out paperwork.

SUMMARY:Lite Adventure: Haskell Swamp Wildlife Management Area
DESCRIPTION:Directions are tricky for this! If you are coming off of 195\, head NORTH on North Street at the Mattapoisett Exit 19B. The small wooded lot will be on the RIGHT at ABOUT the drop pin location. There is a sign. \nThis session:\nHaskell Swamp Wildlife Management Area \nAs you can tell from the directions\, this is a lesser known patch of swampy awesomeness! However\, per Tinkle’s M.O.\, he spotted a sign in his travels\, and wondered…”What is THIS all about??” There are some nice logging roads\, and certainly some adventurous trekking\, especially if you are looking to avoid getting TOO wet out there. Be sure to bring thick socks\, waterproof boots\, BLAZE ORANGE (this is a Wildlife Management Area after all) and your Exploring Spirit! Let’s go make some trails! \nStandard Adventure to be immediately followed by a Lite Adventure.

SUMMARY:Lite Adventure: Quanapoag Road/ Pine Tree Trail
DESCRIPTION:This Session:  Quanapoag Road/ Pine Tree Trail \nWhen Adventure Guide Tim (aka Tinkle Tim\, aka Lewis) first moved to Southcoast Massachusetts\, the Freetown Fall-River State forest and all of its subsidiaries was an amazing discovery. Boasting miles of trails and fire roads; you could easily spend days exploring all of its nooks and crannies! Being an outsider\, Tim was unaware of Freetown Forest’s mystical legends\, and even now\, Adventure Club has come up short in our endless pursuit of the elusive Pukwudgie! \nHere is yet another launching point that has often been one of Tinkle’s favorites when heading out for one of his own adventures–and he is excited to share it with OHAC! Let us take you on an exciting Adventure! \n“Two roads diverged in a wood\, and I—\nI took the one less traveled by\,\nAnd that has made all the difference.” \n**Please Indicate GOING so we know to expect you!** \nExpect about 4-5 miles of hiking on our standard adventure! Lite Adventurers should expect about 2-3 miles. \nStandard Adventure to be immediately followed by a Lite Adventure.

SUMMARY:Turner Reservoir-Lite Adventure
DESCRIPTION:Tinkle is going to be honest here: as a kid driving from Connecticut\, over the Thames and thru Rhode Island to Nana’s house in Swansea he went–he didn’t think much of Seekonk outside of its strip malls and extensive shopping scene of Route 6.  It wasn’t until he moved himself to Swansea that he began to discover and really appreciate the beauty of the Southcoast–Seekonk included!  Turner Reservoir was always a fan-favorite of the first OutHound\, Moses and OHAC is excited to guide newcomers and frequent fliers alike to a beautiful reserve right in our own backyard!  Parking will be actually be at a lot in Rumford\, RI–and OHAC wouldn’t begrudge anyone who wants to seek out Seven Stars bakery pre or post hike! \nStandard Adventure: 4-5 miles \nLite Adventure: 2-3 \nTerrain: Mostly flat\, Some street-side walking
