DESCRIPTION:Adventure Tadhg is going to be honest here: as a kid driving from Connecticut\, over the Thames and thru Rhode Island to Nana’s house in Swansea–he didn’t think much of Seekonk outside of its strip malls and extensive shopping scene on Route 6.  It wasn’t until he moved to Swansea himself that he began to discover and really appreciate the beauty of the Southcoast–Seekonk included!  Turner Reservoir was always a fan-favorite of the first OutHound\, Moses and OHAC is excited to join our Queer Hikes friends at a beautiful reserve right in our own backyard!  Parking will actually be at a lot in Rumford\, RI–and OHAC wouldn’t begrudge anyone who wants to seek out Seven Stars bakery pre or post hike! \nTerrain: Some boardwalks\, grassy paths\, wooded terrain\, as well as a short walk roadside.  \nYou need: Proper footwear.  Water and a snack.  \nYour Dog needs: Properly fitting harness\, water\, poop bags\, and snacks.  \nParking: Two small Dirt Lots\, plus parking across the street at Hunts Mill. \nRegistration: https://OutHounds.as.me/queerhikesturnerreservoir

DESCRIPTION:This session: \nThe Bogs\n\nThe Bogs has been a long time favorite destination for the Adventure Club\, and it is even more exciting now that OHAC has renewed our collaboration with the Buzzards Bay Coalition! The predominantly flat and open trails are great for the beginning hiker\, yet the beauty can be appreciated by all! Adventure Guide Tim does like to lead the group into the forest trail\, which does boast a mild incline and some tricky footing\, depending on the flood stage of the subsequent swamp. Although\, even if we have to double back or risk the dryness of our socks\, we always have a great time out here. (Check out our pictures from the spring!) This a great trail for just getting yourself (and your dog!) OUT and reconnecting with nature.
