DESCRIPTION:This session: \nHistoric New Bedford \nWhile OutHounds Adventure & Training Academy’s Adventure Club typically traverses our more remote and wooded areas\, we do like to gather in more populous locales once in a while and have an “Urban Adventure!” We couldn’t think of a better time\, then to celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King. Come join Adventure Club on this Urban Adventure Hike to commemorate his legacy by walking New Bedford’s Black History Trail. Starting at Pier 3 on the New Bedford waterfront\, we will follow the Trail as meticulously curated by the New Bedford Historical Society. Our path will lead us to Buttonwood Park and back again! \nAt each location\, we will read and learn a little bit about the rich history along the way.
