DESCRIPTION:This session: \nSimmons Pond\n\nJoin us for some true holiday spirit\, at one of our favorite Adventure hikes: Simmons Pond and the “hidden” Christmas Tree Forest. See what happens when nature takes over. It is truly breathtaking! \n\nSimmons Pond is certainly one of OHAC’s favorite Adventures. We suppose any tenderly cared for oasis that boasts tree cookies\, 30 hidden birdhouses\, trail magic\, history lessons\, and a sense of deep pride in a community’s land trust is worthy of “favorite” designation! Path’s here are wide and welcoming with minimal inclines. Parts of the trail can get not only muddy\, but completely flooded–although this tends to be a Springtime occurrence. Expect about 4-5 miles of hiking on our standard adventure!  \n\n**Adventures are held rain or shine.** \nTerrain: Mostly flat\, Some street-side walking\n\nYou need: Proper footwear.  Water and a snack.
